Kelly Morris takes on a new role

Kelly Morris is an English and Drama teacher at Taft High. This is her first year of teaching English and we asked her how it was going and she said: “It’s going good; it is very different and I like how there is a different structure than Drama.” Morris has been teaching for 13 years at Taft High and she has never taught at a different school. She is also the teacher for the drama class is the adviser of Drama Club. Morris went to Taft College. Then, while she was working at Taft High School, she also went to Cal State Bakersfield for 4 years and Point Loma for 1 year. When she was going to college, she coached color guard at Taft High. Mrs. Morris is involved in a lot of activities at Taft High. She has been coaching Competition Cheer for 10 years and she says, “I love it, that’s why I’ve been doing it for so many years”.
