Taft Union High School’s 2018 Mock Rock competition is on the horizon, and many students are rushing to get ready. “I’m doing magic to music,” stated Elijah Gonzalez, a freshman with his first chance to participate. The chief commissioner, April Conners, remarked, “To get invaded (with auditions), it would be a blast!”. Each year comes with a new theme, such as Grease or That 70’s Show, and this year the theme is Disney. All acts are welcome, from dancing to videos. “My favorite is the teachers’ act every year,” stated Mrs. Conners. Tryouts are on March 5 at lunch or March 6 after school, so go and have fun expressing yourself on stage.
