A special event will take place at the October 28th race at the Kern County Raceway:

Lance Wilson will make his fourth Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series start of the season, in the “Bulwark;FR / Timberland Pro 101 presented by 51 FIFTY Energy Drink” at Kern County Raceway. The October 28th event will be a special one for Wilson. The number 15 will be sporting a special paint scheme, for breast cancer awareness in addition to a special portrait on the hood, to honor Kelsey Meadows, and the victims of the Las Vegas tragedy“Our thoughts and prayers are with all those that have been affected by this horrible tragedy”, Wilson began.  “Kelsey Meadows is a young lady that we will have on the hood of our car.  Kelsey and her family are friends of our team, and we would like to honor her, after she lost her life in Las Vegas. It really means a lot to us, to be able to have her on the hood, and show our support to her family and friends, who have had to endure so much emotional pain through this heartbreaking act.”

Wilson would like nothing more than to bring home a victory, at his home track, for Kelsey’s family.  Lance will be driving the Wilson’s Industrial Pumps, VanDoorn Driver Development Toyota for car owner Nick Sivesind.  It is the same car that Johnny VanDoorn drove to victory, in the last event at Tucson Speedway, and Wilson led final practice with, at Irwindale Speedway.  This will be Wilson’s eighth career SRL start, and fourth of the 2017 season. He has finished in the top 10, of all three previous starts this season, and will be looking for SRL win number one.
