McKenlee Wescott is the News Editor for The Gusher. She is Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook and sergeant of CTEC Law Enforcement Internship. She enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her family. McKenlee aspires to attend Taft College to study Criminal Justice Administration. After Taft College, she intends to transfer to Bakersfield College to continue her studies in Criminal Justice.

Standing in formation, Tanner Ashmore leads the Drumline at the beginning of the show. Drum Captain, Tanner Ashmore said,This year has been awesome, we finished 1st in PPAACC finals in our division. Everyone works so hard to achieve such a high goal. Its amazing to see everyone work together to make a show as good as this one. This years Drumline has gone above and beyond to perfect telling the story of Teslas Tower.

Eight students selected to perform in the Kern County Honor Band and Orchestra. Nathaniel Morris will be performing in the Honor Orchestra. Dennis Posey, Richard Posey, Martin Penaloza, Luis Moncada, Taylor Reed, Rebecca Cuevas, and Allyson Houghton will be performing in the Honor Band. Music intructor, Amanda Posey, said I am so proud of these musicians. They will be performing at the Rabobank Arena on January 29th.

Flag stands tall while TUHS students honor Veterans. Human Element students invited Veterans to tell their experiences. Advisor Emmy Lou Heber said, The Human Element students and I were very happy with the opportunity to put on such a well-received event. We were thrilled to be able to honor Veterans and have their stories shared with our student body. We are looking forward to doing this again in the future.

Hugging one last time. Monica Torro awards Mary Miller with a plaque for her many years of service at TUHS. Miller spent 12 years working as campus supervisor. In total she has worked around 33 years doing various jobs. Miller stated, I will miss the students and staff. Most of all I will miss watching students play sports.
