Cross Country is off to a great start to their season so far! The girls’ team has been increasing over the last week or so. Although the frosh-soph team is generally young, they are excelling and getting better as their team continues to fight–whether it’s through the heat, when they have conditioning in the pools, during morning runs before school, or having meetings inside Coach Hickman’s classroom. To add to the great start of their seasons, Chase Cortez took second place altogether just under Arvin’s first place winner. Cortez managed to run a timed 2.5-mile run in 13 minutes and 10.75 seconds. Cortez isn’t the only star on the team, though, all other Wildcat runners have continued to get better and will surely put up great numbers this weekend!
