TUHS music department spreads Christmas cheer
Taft Union High School has a wide range of arts to offer to TUHS staff, students, and family. Since it is the Christmas season, the band, string orchestra, jazz band, and choir have prepared all sorts of diverse Christmas music to provide for the community.
Conductor Amanda Posey will be directing three ensembles on Dec. 10, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium – the band, string orchestra, and jazz band. In no particular order, each will be performing:
Band:

“Mary’s Little Boy Child”
“Sleigh Ride”

Strings:

“Chinese Dance”
“Rejoice, East and West”
Jazz Band:

“Go Tell It On The Mountain”
In another holiday performance, the choir will be performing on Dec. 12, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium, singing several songs with solos, solos on their own, and all-ladies’ songs. In no particular order and under the direction of accompanist Trish Wise and Conductor Aaron Mosely, the TUHS choir will be performing:

Four additional solos will be performed by Ariana Blackburn, Marlen Bautista, Nathaniel Morris, and Taylor Fearon.
Each student has held their weight in learning their part, old and new students alike. Make sure to appreciate their work, attend their concerts, and have festive fun along the way.
