Taft varsity tennis defeats RFK

On September 3, the Taft High varsity girls tennis team defeat RFK with a 9-0 match score. The game was at home on Tuesday.

Singles: 

#1 Arelie Paz defeated Paglette 6-0, 6-0.

#2 Valerie Munoz defeated Garcia 6-0, 6-0. 

#3 Jessica De La Cruz beat Arreondo 6-2, 6-1. 

#4 Jeidy Perez beat Capalal 6-1, 6-1. 

#5 Cindy Perez defeated Vasquez 6-0, 6-0.

#6 Ivonne Gutierrez beat Avelar 6-0,6-1. 

Cindy Perez was the first one off the court, followed by Paz, and Munoz. 

Doubles:

#1 Paz and Munoz defeated Pablette and Arredondo 8-4.

#2 Cindy Perez and Gabriela Aguilar defeated Garcia and Capalal 8-1.

#3 Kaylee Pence and Anna Solzano won by default. 

Jeidy Perez stated, “The victory that we won today motivated all of us to improve better and to also be excited for the rest of the following games.”

The Taft girls hope to win the other games in their season and stay undefeated.
