Presley Golling placed 35th in a combined division swim meet at Valley.

This past week was exciting for the swim and dive team. Two of our swim and dive athletes, Kaleb Hillan and Presley Golling, went to the Swim and Dive Valley Championships. The event was held at Clovis West High School. Back in 1989, our very own Ryan Miller held the D2 meet record of 534.20 and is still holding it today.

Hillan competed in the diving event that was held on Thursday, May 2, 2019. When asked how he was feeling about going to Valley, Hillan said, “I was pretty excited about it.” Hillan placed 8th in the 1-meter dive with a score of 348.85. Hillan said he was, “Relieved that it was over and I was actually a little bummed out because I was out,” after the competition.

Golling competed in the swim event. This year, both D1 and D2 were combined for the swim event, with that said, Golling placed 35th in the 200-yard freestyle with a personal best time of 1:52.14. He placed 35th in the 100-yard butterfly setting another personal best of 56.77. Congratulations to the swim and dive athletes for the accomplishments.
