Varsity boys tennis in great standing to win league

The Taft High varsity Tennis team played Shafter March 19, winning 8-0 in a well played match. Bryan Rivera played #1 singles won  6-1, 6-2. Rudolpho Magana played one of his best matches at #2 singles, and won 6-2, 6-1. Tyler Nyguen continued the Taft winning streak at #3 singles, and won 6-2, 6-0.  Bryson Ginn played #4 singles, and lost in a tough match in straight sets of 2-6, 5-7.

Luis Moncoda played a great match at #5 singles winning 6-1, 6-1. And Antonio Guzman played #6 singles, winning 6-1, 6-2.

In #1 doubles, Magana and German Mejia won 8-4 in an 8 point proset, and at #2 doubles, Ngyuen and Marvin Gama won 8-2. #3 doubles was a forfeit, giving Taft an 8-1 win.  Taft is now 10-2 overall, and 7-0 in the SSL.
