Successful season comes to an end

On Feb. 15, Taft traveled to Foothill for the second round of the playoffs where their successful season of winning SSL came to an end. The varsity boys basketball team came into the game with intensity not wanting their season to end. The ‘Cats started out the game with a hot start proving that they can compete with this strong Foothill team.  They were neck-and-neck throughout the first quarter but lost their intensity a bit in the second quarter being down by 15 going into halftime. The game ended with Foothill stepping on the gas and dominating our Wildcats. The game ended with a heartbreaking score of 92-55. The ‘Cats ended their season with an overall record of 18-8 giving the community of  Taft its most successful basketball season in 29 years.
