Midfielder Oswaldo Flores Mejia lines up a long pass from the center of the field. This pass would be received by Forward Oscar Arellano, who ended the night with an assist to Cristobal Huizar.

The TUHS boys varsity soccer team played four of their hardest league games in the past two weeks and, unfortunately, lost three and tied one. They played an away game at Cesar Chavez on the Jan. 8. No goals were scored during regulation, which gave them the opportunity to go into overtime. That game resulted in a 0-0 score after double overtime. Two days later, they played at Wasco on Jan. 10 and lost 2-0. This was followed with a 4-1 loss against Arvin at home on Jan. 15 and a 1-0 loss against RFK on Jan. 18. They are currently 3-3-1 in league with a 9-8-1 overall record.
