On December 3, 2018, the junior varsity boys soccer team for Taft High went against the Thunderbirds in an intense match in Taft. Irvin Artiano, a freshman at Taft High and a captain for the Wildcats, scored for the team, giving them more motivation to keep fighting and giving it all. Even though they gave their heart out on the field, they lost 4-1, but they still had their head high with more motivation to keep going forward.

On December 4, 2018, the JV team went against the Shafter Generals in an extreme match in the Martin Memorial Stadium. Unhappy with the score they got, the Wildcats finished the game with a loss and a final score at 6-1. Emmanuel Vasquez, a starter on the JV soccer team, was one of the people that scored against Shafter. The rest of the week, they got ready for the Liberty Tournament where they faced East, Frontier, and Garces.

On December 7 and December 8, the JV Wildcats went to the Liberty tournament where they gave everything they had. Their first game was against East, where they lost 2-0. They finished the game with Frontier where they tied 1-1. They got ready for the next two games the next day. The next day, they went against Garces twice, where they lost one 2-0 and tied one 2-2. They then prepared for the non-league game against McFarland.
