Girls soccer takes third in Garces tournament
The varsity girls soccer team recently played at the Garces tournament. Their first game was against the Firebaugh Eagles. Taft High won 1-0 on Friday, December 14. Skylar Hale scored for her team.
The next day, the girls went against Tulare Union. Unfortunately, the girls lost this game with a score of 0-3.
Right after the Tulare Union game, the girls had a break to get ready and prepare for their next game. They played against Delano and won with a score of 2-0. The two people that scored were Evelyn Camacho and Gladys Valdivia-Magana. This helped the girls get third place in the tournament. Taft High is now 5-2-2. This means they have five wins, two ties, and 2 losses. They have two home games this week on January 8 and 10.
