The Taft High boys’ varsity soccer team starts off their season on the right note with back-to-back wins. They played RFK in an away game on December 3 and came away with a 2-1 win. This was followed by a game the very next day against Shafter that ended up going to double overtime. The Wildcats scored in the very last minutes by Oscar Arellano who was subbed in as a forward. The team played great and the coaches are very happy to have won back-to-back league games.

The team had a couple days to train before they went to play two games in the Wasco tournament on December 7. They lost the first game 3-0 against Delano, but managed to regroup and came away with a 1-0 win against Roosevelt.
