On Fri. Oct. 5., Taft Union High School’s cross country team went to Sierra Pacific High School for a meet. There were five boys and two girls who went. Marimar Torres won the girls race with the time of 24:23 (a personal best improving by 1:57). She received a medal for first place. Pamela Galindo placed third with the time of 25:21 (a personal best of 1:31). She received a medal also. The boys’ cross country team had a skeleton crew due to Homecoming events. Two of the five boys’ runners got medals. Sergio Cruz placed thirteenth and received a medal. He led the TUHS boys’ team to the finish line.
