Wildcats mixed in matches against McFarland

Lady ‘Cats face off against McFarland on October 9th. JV players; Kylie Taylor, Aubrey Self, Cora Rowland, Destiny Gilmore, Perla Botello, and Emma Waldrop have a team bonding photo.

Tuesday, October 9th the Freshman Lady ‘Cats faced off against the McFarland Cougars where they defeated them 2-1. The first set was a blow out where they stomped on the Cougars throughout, winning the first set with a score of 25-12. By the second set, McFarland upped the tempo by surprising everybody with a 29-27 tight win to close the second set tying the series 1-1.

The third set was just as close, but the freshman Lady ‘Cats were able to come out on top with the third set ending in 16-14 win. Taft wins the game 2-1 over McFarland.

The JV girls’ volleyball game was the complete opposite of their lowerclassmen when they were swept in an extremely close game against the McFarland Cougars 2-0. The first set was a very intense game where in the end the Lady ‘Cats fell 23-25. The second set was just as close where the Taft girls put up a good fight but still happened to lose 26-24. Lady ‘Cats lose a rough game against the Cougars 2-0.
