The CIF-Central Section Masters Meet (Valley Championships) was held at Buchanan High School on May 19, 2018. These athletes worked hard to make it to Masters. Senior Roberto Frausto got 9th place in the 400 meter race, for his final race he ran a 51.06. Senior Caitlin Bailey jumped 5-02.0 and got 7th place. Freshmen Macayla Wells jumped 39-00.25 in triple jump and achieved 2nd place and a personal record. She also got 8th place with a jump of 17-03.50 in long jump. The 4×400 meter relay team broke the school record with a time of 4:06.08 and got 8th place. The members were Macayla Wells, Taylor Hale, Mariah Nevarez, and Bree Johansen 4:06.08. All the athletes that competed showed that they deserved to be there. Macayla Wells will be competing at the State meet so go and support the freshman phenomenon this weekend.
