On Monday, May 21, Clayson played in the CIF Central Section Valley Championship Match.   He overcame an early double bogey on his 4th hole to finish the tournament with a 4 over 75. He was the only golfer in the tournament to have a sub 9 hole score shooting a -1 (34) on the front nine. Overall, he finished the tournament tied for 7th place, but due to a card off he finished as the number 10 low medalist.    

On Thursday, he played against the best 143 golfers from Southern California in the CIF SoCal Regional Tournament at the Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena.
