Last week with the defeat of Robert F. Kennedy, 31-0, our Lady Wildcats became 7-time S.S.L. champions. The Wildcats had a strong season with a league record of 11-1. Overall, they had a positive record as they won 13 games and lost 8. The ‘Cats may have lost some games, but losing builds strength as shown by the Taft High Softball team’s record. Our ‘Cats are hungry to regain the title of valley champions, as they were narrowly beaten out last year in the semi-final game. Our girls are scheduled to play against Hanford at Hanford. Hanford went 8-4 in league; they also went 12-11-1 overall. This makes Hanford a worthy first-round opponent for Taft High. The first round playoff game will be played on Wednesday, May 16th, at 4:30 p.m. Please come and support your Wildcats and cheer them on as they look to advance to the second round of playoffs.
