Clayson Sorenson at Monday’s tournament

On May 7th, 2018, a tournament was held at our home course, Buena Vista Golf Course where Clayson Sorenson finished in 8th place. He is now on his way to the CIF Valley championship next Monday, which will be March 14th. The top score of the SSL was an even par of 72, which is extremely good. In order to move onto Valley, players have to score an 85 or less, and Clayson shot an 80, allowing him to continue to the championship tournament. The other teams that were able to move on to Valley are Frontier, Liberty, and Stockdale as Division 1 teams, and BCHS moved on to Valley as a Division 2 team by beating Highland by one stroke, finishing with a score of 440-441.This is sadly Clayson’s last year playing golf for Taft High since he is a Senior and will be graduating, but we all know that golf is definitely his game and will be taking him very far in life. The season was a good one with plenty of memories for the graduating seniors on the team to take with them and to look back on in future years.
