The league season has begun and swimming has not had a win yet. However, things look optimistic with the meet against Shafter, “We’re going to win.” says Coach Parker confidently. Besides the lack of wins against Wasco, and BCHS, the season has still been a good one for individual swimmers. Junior, Ryan Hickernell, has been setting his own personal records in the 500-yard freestyle and 50-yard freestyle events and hopes to make fast enough times for Valley.

This has been the first swim season at Taft High for Coach Parker. He has said that the experience has been very eye-opening and fun. He enjoys working with those who strive in succeeding and can’t wait for more great meets.
