Tuesday, March 13th, the varsity baseball team played at home against West High School. The boys won their game with a 7-4 score against the Vikings.

Jackson Van Roekel, a junior, along with Corbin Yaws, a sophomore, and another sophomore Michael White all rotated positions around the field and were given a chance to pitch in the game. Van Roekel got a save and an appearance. Yaws had an appearance and a win, while White also had an appearance and a start.

Taft’s sophomore varsity player Reese Hammons was one of the six players that scored a run for the Wildcats. Other players that scored for Taft were the following: David Daniels, a senior, with 1 run, freshman Kyler Miles with 1 run, Jackson Van Roekel also with 1 score, as well as senior Quentin Copeland with 1 run, while another freshman, Skyler Self, scored 2 runs for Taft.

The Wildcats ended their game with a win and have been practicing for their next game this afternoon at home against Cal City, hoping for another win.
