Over the weekend, on March 10th, Taft held the 40th annual Swim and Dive Invitational. Coaches, swimmers, and divers were apprehensive because of the weather, but the storm subsided and no one was struck by lighting. The meet kicked off with nine divers performing their six dives with the required one being an inward. Kaleb Hillan took first place with Kaden Hielscher in third for the boys and Regan Barnachia in third for the girls. All of our winners would also score points for the overall results. During the meet, a 15-minute break was given for the timers to eat and swimmers from all schools came together in dancing to the “Cha Cha Slide”. Overall, Taft High girls came in 8th place out of 15 schools and the boys took 9th.
