On March 8th the boys golf team became officially tied with B.C.H.S. in the overall SSL top spot. So far, they’ve played two league matches, one at Delano and the most recent at North Kern. At the Delano match, the course’s conditions were a bit better than they usually are because they cut the weeds, making the ditches easier to golf out of. The team got 2nd place at that match, and was beaten by B.C.H.S. During the North Kern tournament, the team brought their A game and won the tournament, defeating B.C.H.S. At the most recent game, which was at North Kern, the par was 36 and Clayson Sorenson got a 39, which is a great demonstration of his usual impressive play. Dawson Lopez followed along with a nice score of 43. Hunter Barton got a 49, while Spencer Cole got a 51 and “continues to improve weekly” claims coach Goodwin. Thomas Stark shot a 54, and  David Yates finished with a 56. The season is off to a great start for the team and looks to be going in the right direction.
