Wildcat Baseball Slides Into a New Season

Taft’s Boys Varsity Baseball  played several games last week. They played in a tournament where they went 3-2 overall. The boys beat South High, West High, and Foothill. Unfortunately, the Wildcats lost their games against Mira Monte and Golden Valley. The Wildcats were supposed to play a game on February 27th, but it was cancelled.

They played the next day on the 28th at East Bakersfield High School. The team took home a win with a score of 13-6. On March 1st, the boys played at West High.

The Wildcats won Thursday’s neutral tournament game against West by a score of 5-1.

On the very next day, March 2nd, Taft beat Foothill’s varsity baseball team in a home tournament game against by a score of 11-2. This was a good win for the Wildcats as it boosted their confidence as they inch closer and closer to the start of the regular season.
