It was one intense week for the girls’ basketball team last week. They had two home games. The first game was a victorious double-win against Arvin, in which the varsity and J.V. both brought their A game. The freshmen team put in their best effort, but were defeated ending the game against Arvin with Taft at 15, and Arvin with 35. The audience’s spirits were uplifted whenever the J.V. picked up the game, finishing with a high score of 54, and Arvin finishing with a 14. The varsity followed in suit with a determination to win and finished with a score of 50-43. The game against Kennedy, on January 25 had the same double-win result. J.V. won the game with a spectacular score of of 54, and Kennedy ended the game with a score of 14. The varsity also took a win against Kennedy with 44 points and Kennedy with 35. Both games were overall a success, in the end, with 2 out of the 3 teams winning both games.
