This month for the Wildcat boys’ soccer team has been comprised of wins, losses, and a few close calls. On Jan. 9, the teams went up against Chavez. The Junior Varsity team lost 0-2, but the varsity team won 2-0. Unfortunately, on Jan. 11, both teams lost at Arvin.

On Jan. 18, the J.V. team won 1-0, even though they only had 10 team members playing. Edgar Miranda got a leg cramp and had to sit out of the game, but they played strong throughout the game. “With only 10 players, we did pretty decent for ourselves.” mentioned Ramiro Gonzales, a member of the J.V. team. At the end of the varsity match, the teams tied and were forced into a 20-minute overtime, until the Wildcats lost 2-1. This month hasn’t been the best, but with hard work and determination, the teams hopefully will pull through and improve their strategy throughout the remaining games.
