On Dec. 6, the Girls’ Basketball team played against a tough Foothill team earning them two wins and one loss. The freshman girls basketball team, unfortunately, lost with a score of 8-35. However, the JV team showed early signs of competitiveness in the start of the first quarter, as they pulled ahead, 21-1. They kept the strong score throughout the game, and won the home “non-conference” game with a score of 63-12. Varsity followed in mirror image as they started their first quarter off strong with a 15-0 lead, and played efficiently all the way through, ending with a score of 55-4. The game on Wednesday all in all “…was successful for our team, and dreadful for the other team,” stated current varsity basketball player, Alana Iotamo. The team “still has some room for improvements,” claimed Iotamo. So far the team is off to a good start with positive attitudes towards the progressing season.
