On Nov. 28, the Taft High soccer girls had a game against Bakersfield Christian High School. The JV game started at 4:30 in the afternoon. They had an hour and a half to get ready, stretch, and warm up. The varsity game started at 6:00 in the evening. They started to warm up during the end of the first half of the JV game.

The JV girls were ready to beat BCHS. Although BCHS was playing rough, they managed to score on them twice. Marimar Torrez scored in the first half and Aubrey Self scored one in the second half. BCHS also scored on us during the first half of the game. The overall score was 2-1. During the second half, Torrez fell and injured her ankle. Due to this injury she was not able to play for the rest of the game.

The Varsity team lost with a score of 2-1. Isabella Nuncio scored for her team. In the first half of the game, BCHS managed to score on our goalie, Gladys Valdivia. After they scored, everyone heard a popping noise. When they looked over, they saw confetti. Yet again, our staff was left with a mess to clean up on the visitors’ side.
