JV Defeated Again
The JV Wildcats played the Robert F. Kennedy Thunderbirds for our Homecoming game October 27, 2017. The Junior Varsity Wildcat defense was a little rough in the beginning, but they didn’t give up too many points. The 1st quarter ended 0-6 in favor of RFK. In the 2nd quarter, one of our own players was taken out of the game and taken away in an ambulance. After Frank Rosche was taken out of the game, the Wildcats were motivated to play better for him. The Wildcats were everywhere, trying to stop the ball and trying to scare the other team. Our very own #1 Coletin Hamblin, scared the Thunderbirds QB and forced him to throw an incomplete pass. For the next play, Coletin Hamblin made a quick tackle and continued this for many plays. He really started ruffling the Thunderbirds’ feathers. The rest of the Wildcats kept up the strong defense and it took a while for the Thunderbirds to finally break through. When the Thunderbirds finally broke through, they scored with five minutes left. After this, the five minutes were fought hard by the JV Wildcat Football Team. Chad Berry #41 and Jonathon Hopkins #3 gained many long runs down the field. The team was pumped by how many runs they had been getting. After a while, the Thunderbirds got an interception, but our Wildcats came right back with an interception. In 3rd quarter, the Thunderbirds started off strong but not strong enough. The Wildcats picked it up and had many attempts to score, but they fell short. They had some long runs in the last quarter but, in the end, our Wildcats lost 32-0, but we will all still support them for the next game against BCHS.
