The Taft Wildcats Water Polo team suffered a loss against the Bakersfield Christian Eagles on Thursday, October 5th. The final score was 14 to 6, but those 6 goals were deservedly earned due to determination and great perseverance. During the first quarter, the Wildcats were 2 to the opponent’s 3 goals, but,

by the end of the second quarter, it was clear that this was going to be a loss, considering the Eagles accomplished 7 goals against the Wildcats during one quarter. Kaleb Hillan gained the most points individually throughout the game, earning himself 3 of the team’s 6 total goals. Seth Taylor, the team’s goaltender, has 9 saves under his belt thanks to his passion and everlasting determination. This game was fought hard, so the loss is less significant to the Wildcats, and with more games comes more experience. So far, the team has been defeated every game, but that doesn’t fade their tenacious spirits.
