The Wildcat golfers scored another second place finish yesterday at Buena Vista Golf Course in our first 18-hole match of the season.  BCHS continues their strong play, but the Wildcats are putting in the effort at practice to improve, keeping the pressure on the Eagles.

Team captain Sierra Pilgrim is on the verge of a breakthrough in her game.  After struggling to a 50 on the front, she made some adjustments and came in with a solid 43 on the back nine, including a run of three pars in a row.  Freshman Macayla Wells shot a personal best 103 and is growing steadily in her knowledge of the game and ball striking ability.  As the bottom four of our lineup become more consistent, we’re looking to challenge BCHS in the next two regular league matches and at the SSL Championship in three weeks.
