The boys battled it out in the Taft High pool.

The Taft Boys Water Polo Team, currently Division 3, took on tough Division 1 opponent, Garces, at home on Tuesday, September 12th. Garces would ultimately take the win 19-13.

Though our team isn’t discouraged one bit, they plan on improving their accuracy in passing, getting inside water, and the transition. Coach Nathan Usrey even stated that he was very proud of his team and getting the score that they received; he said, “Being ranked division three and going against a division one would prove to be difficult, but I have faith in my team, and to receive the score that we got isn’t bad at all, in fact it’s pretty good, especially since half our team is brand new. I’m very proud of my guys.”

During the game, with five assists and three steals, Presley Golling showed a high degree of awareness and team play. Golling was awarded Player of the Game on MaxPreps. The team looks to him and appreciates his hard work and effort.
