Taft Varsity Volleyball Sweeps the Week With Wins
South vs. Taft
Last week, Varsity girls played South High at the Taft Recreational Center (Rec) due to weather. Taft High volleyball program appreciated the Rec for allowing them to use their gym to practice and play a game.
The first game was quick and ended up as a win for the ‘Cats. In the second set, the Rebels took the lead for a few rallies and the Wildcats came back with great digs from Cherise Strong and Jonelle Rouell. The game was close, 24 to 23, with strong serving, Hunter Everson setting and Sarah Lopez along with Brooklyn Yaws and Alyssa Reeves in the front row. Varsity came back with point after point, from serves and some great hits. Overall, the Lady ‘Cats finished with a good game against the Rebels, working hard, like always, and ending the night with the win in three sets.
