This is the second year in a row that the CEO of the Houchin Blood Bank awarded Key Club with the, “You made a difference, the Give it up high school blood drive challenge for 2018- 2019.” Key Club won the award because, “Our students and staff had the most blood drawn for middle-sized high schools in Kern County,” said Debra Popejoy. Over 100 students and 20 staff members donated blood during the school year to make this award possible.

“All four of our officers, Cielo Woggn, Cristina Bautista, Damaryz Hernandez, and Cristal Guzman have been amazing officers this year, ensuring that the blood drive for both the fall and the spring was a success! We are extremely excited to recruit new members to key club next year and we look forward to continuing to set records for the blood drive,” Debra Popejoy commented.
