Falling for music
Taft High hosted the fall choir concert on Oct. 23. Choir teacher, Aaron Mosley, was the conductor for the night with Trish Wise as the accompanist. The concert started with the beginning choir as they sang Cantate Domino, Lineage, and Johnny Has Gone for a Soldier. Before beginning choir’s final song, Kailee Gaylord sang Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley and George David Weiss. After beginning choir, the advanced choir took over and started with El Grillo by Josquin Des Prez and Jerry Weseley Harris followed by another soloist, Ariana Blackburn, who sang I Dreamed a Dream by C. M. Schönberg. The choir went on to sing The Hands of Winter, by Mark Hayes and John Parker, and shortly after was our third soloist, Kaleb Hillan, who sang I’m Wunderschönen Monat Mai by R. Schumann. They continued with Thee We Adore by Ralph Johnson and concluded with Praise His Holy Name by Keith Hampton. Many friends and family came out to watch and support our fellow Wildcats.
