Oil Tech students and staff started off the year with a Movie Night for freshmen. They provided popcorn and the movie Jumanji for students to enjoy in the Taft Union High School auditorium. While everyone was getting settled for the movie, Mr. Pendergrass gave advice to the freshman. He advised that they, “Study, pass your classes, and be involved in Taft High activities.” Two students, Mason Stepp, and Rilee Hammons want to join the Oil Tech Academy to engage in a new part of their lives. Kaylene Teter explained what Movie Night was about, “Movie Night is for recruiting freshman so that they will join the Oil Tech Academy their sophomore year.”
