Elizabeth Terrasas has resigned from her position as the Senior Accounting Technician of TUHS after thirteen years of service. Terrasas will be resigning effective on April 29th, and her new position will be at Norris School District in Bakersfield. Terrasas has contributed to Taft High through her hard work in the business office. She has dedicated her time away from her family for the betterment of Taft High–from assisting staff members to helping the countless students who her hard work and dedication has affected over her thirteen years at TUHS.

Terrasas was asked why she decided to resign, in which she said, “I moved to Bakersfield, with my new position being closer to home, and working in the business office has been a very stressful situation for the last several years with them cutting our staff and with the exit of our business manager. It’s a very difficult situation to be in and it’s hard to be successful here.” In Terrasas’s letter of resignation she stated, “I appreciate the experience and skills I have developed as an employee of Taft Union High School District.” Terrasas responded when asked about what she would miss most about Taft High, saying, “Mostly the kids, my son grew up with some of the kids who grew up here and I’ll be missing them.”
