FAFSA Window is Open
Attention all Seniors, the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) has opened as of October 1, 2017. FAFSA is important to those who plan on attending college. The government uses FAFSA to determine your eligibility for federal student if you complete.
EVERYONE who’s getting ready to go to college or career school should fill out the FAFSA form!
The steps that will help you complete FAFSA are:
- Create an account (FSA ID).
- Start the FAFSA® form at fafsa.gov.
- Fill out the Student Demographics section.
- List the schools to which you want your FAFSA® information sent.
- Answer the dependency status questions.
- Fill out the Parent Demographics section.
- Supply your parents and your financial information
- Sign and Submit your FAFSA
By doing these steps you will be eligible to get low-cost loans, grants, and work-study. After finishing the application make sure to keep checking the email that you used to sign up, you should receive an email 3 to 5 days later. The CSU application window has opened beginning October 1st, 2017. CSU Applications are due by November 30, 2017.
Apply at www2.calstate.edu/apply
One application will help you apply to any of the 23 CSU campuses. This is highly recommended and encouraged.
