Eight students from Taft High’s FFA program traveled to Bakersfield College on November 28th to compete in two sectional FFA contests. The 1st contest was the Cooperative Marketing contest and Taft had 5 students competing. This team finished 3rd place out of the twelve schools in the section.

The 2nd contest was the BIG (Best Informed Greenhand) contest. This was a contest to test the knowledge of freshman on the history and function of the FFA Organization. The team of three freshmen placed 2nd out of the twelve schools in the section.

It was an outstanding night with excellent results for our FFA students in the program! They did a fantastic job.
